about

“Too Far Gone” is the title of Nagual’s new single due to be released on the 22.02.2022.
It’s the first outtake from the new album’s material the band has been working on since the beginning of the pandemic, after the release of “A Glass Full of Karma” in March 2020. The song is published by Orzorock Music and has been recorded once again at Alberto Callegari’s Elfo Studio in Tavernago (Piacenza). The musical arrangement and the structure of the song reveal substantial changes compared to Nagual’s previous work, due to an intense and choral teamwork and the introduction in the line-up of the band of a new guitarist (Marco Cusenza) and a female singer (Sara Battisteri, which was a special guest in the previous album). The length of the song is unusually brief for a Nagual’s standard (3:33) but it’s a concentrated burst of energy and atmosphere, rather radio friendly.

lyrics

People dressed in silence
Standing at my door
Messengers of nothing
Coming back for more

Footsteps crack on thin ice
Violate this naked floor
Ripples in the mirror
Like a sea without a shore

But there’s no one in
Your ghost moved on
The dream was real
Now I’m too far gone

You knew this house was haunted
Explore its empty rooms
This reign of half burnt candles
And fires blown out too soon

Hear these walls resounding
As the shadows hide away
While dust is gently landing
On the tears of yesterday

But there’s no one in
Your ghost moved on
I was too far in
Now I’m too far gone
Too far gone
I’m too far gone

But there’s no one in
Your ghost moved on
The dream was real
Now I’m too far gone
I'm too far gone
I’m too far gone
Too Far Gone
